It's as simple as 1-2-3-4 !
 
  1.    Customers purchase initial exchange set of TCRU parts when ordering the printer, and the parts are stocked in an on-site parts locker.
  2.    At machine installation time, the Service Specialist trains the customer on the use of the TCRU parts and the symptoms indicating it is time to replace them.
  3.    Trained customers replace the defective TCRU part on their own, per the documentation & training.
  4.    The InfoPrint Service Specialist repairs or replaces the defective TCRU part during their next customer visit

Trained Customer Replaceable Parts—

Customer replaceable parts (also called trained customer replaceable units or TCRUs) are an efficient way to get your printer up and running quickly. The new Ricoh Family cut sheet printers include certain parts that are easily replaced and do not require the specialized skills of a service technician. We provide simple instructions for you to install parts identified as TCRUs. When a printer has TCRUs available, you can elect to handle them yourself, and save time, production and cost.
