InfoPrint Designer is among the products that did NOT transition from IBM when the IBM Printing Systems Division became the new InfoPrint Solutions Company joint venture formed by Ricoh and IBM.

The product InfoPrint Designer is neither actively marketed by IBM nor actively supported by InfoPrint.  It is mature and effectively in retirement.  The current version of InfoPrint® Designer is 1.18 (Nov 2004).  There is NO further development.

MAPPING Suite can generate IPDS, PCL, PDF, email, web content, archive updates.  MAPPING does this from current application spool files, OR can take a spool file and update it with one or more upgrades from making database calls while applying logic, OR create a new output with no need for a current spool output.

 MAPPING Attributes on iSeries:

 

  • Process CSV, XML, flat files

  • Mix print and database data on page

  • Generate XLS and SCS files

  • Conditional trigger fields that are dynamic on the page

  • Graphics (ie. bar charts, pie charts)

  • OMR codes (automatic folding)

  • High degree of variability of lines, boxes, overlays, images

  • Data text merge and reflow of paragraphs (ie. letters)

  • Work with OV400 documents

  • Route individual copies to different targets (printers, email, etc.)
